My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello,

My name is Roxy? My foster Mom likes to call me Roxanna, and she thinks I need a middle name? Do you have any suggestions?
I’m not exactly your typical bully. My hobbies include, going for long walks, playing fetch in the back yard, swimming (with a life jacket of course), going for car rides, following you around the house, jumping on and off the couch (which isn't allowed in my foster home), and playing with my foster brothers! As you can see, what sets me apart from the typical bully is my long list of activities, and the fact I have more get up and go then the typical bulldog! Now that doesn't mean I’m all go and no slow. I absolutely love to lay in the sun on the back deck, I also enjoy lounging on the patio furniture, and who doesn't love a long nap on the couch (besides my foster mom).
I came into rescue for two reasons my family did not have enough time for me, as well as being unable to provide for me medically. I was loved very much and my family knew they had to do the right thing for me, and I’m very grateful for that. While in rescue I have been brought up to date on my vaccines. I have been spayed, received cherry eye surgery, as well as a complete tail amputation. And boy do I feel GREAT! Now that I am all fixed up, my daily maintenance is minimal. I need my eye boogies cleared each morning, my wrinkles need wiping, and ears need regular cleaning. I now eat a grain free limited ingredient diet, and it has done wonders for my skin and coat!
Care to know a little more about me?? My birthday is February 17th, 2013. I am a typical 2 year old and working on my basic manners. I get very excited to meet new people and absolutely love when my foster parents come home. When I get excited I like to jump, but I am getting soooo good at siting to receive my hello! I get along great with my foster brothers, and haven’t met a dog I don’t like! But my hello still needs a little work. When I see other dogs while I’m on a leash I bark and get so excited I come off as a bit much. But I promise I’m as sweet as pie, when I get to say hello. I was raised in a home with small children and I do just fine with them! Because I still need work on my jumping and basic manners, my forever home shouldn’t have children under the age of 8. I would love a family interested in training classes, I am so smart, and I love to learn new things. I am perfectly crate trained and I no issues while being crated! I am fully potty trained now, but may have set backs when moved to my forever home. I have no issues with stairs big or small long or tall.
My foster mom and dad think I’m so much fun to have around! I’m a big personality in a little bulldog dog body, I only weigh 36lbs and I am full-grown! Because of my mini stature everyone loves to pic my up, and I Love to be held like a baby. I could lay in your arms forever if you let me! Now that you know all there is to know about me, I’d like to get to know all there is to know about my forever family! Could that be you???
Lots of kisses,
Roxanna
