Why hello there friend! Thanks for clicking on my picture! My name is Dozer and I'm pleased to meet you! Let me tell you a little bit about myself so that we can get to know each other better.
I am a 2 year old neutered male Silky Terrier mix who came to NBS Animal Rescue when a kind Samaritan found me wandering in the streets on one of Michigan's brutal cold nights. They stopped and picked me up and tucked me in their warm jackets and took me to the doggy vet. Luckily for me, the vet they took me to had one of the nicest ladies working there - Gina works with 4 Paws 1 Heart and she contacted the nice people at NBS Animal Rescue to give me an awesome foster home to take care of me! Sadly, no one came looking for me despite everyone's best efforts to find my family - and while I was sad for a while, I'm super happy that I have a fun foster home to stay in while I search for my forever home.
My foster mom says that I am the best of both worlds: I can be quiet and snuggly on the couch while we watch TV together, and I can be fun loving and playful with other friendly mellow playing dogs too! I'm good on a leash for walks and have been enjoying this nice spring weather we have and the walks it brings with it! I'm learning how to potty outside, but I don't quiet have the hang of it 100% yet - but I'm a smart fella and am catching on quickly!
My ideal home would be with a family who was home often, either had a fenced yard for me to run and play in, or someone who liked to take short walks a few times a day. I've never met a kitty cat before, and I think kids who are kind, gentle, and slow moving around me at first are OK too. I would love to snuggle on your lap and enjoy the sunshine on daily walks with you!
My adoption fee is $250.00 and includes DHPP vaccine, bordatella vaccine, De-worming, spay/neuter surgery, rabies vaccine, heartworm test, heartworm preventative, flea/tick preventative, microchip insertion, bath, nail trim, ear cleaning, leash and collar and one week's worth of food.

You can fill out a simple online adoption application at www.nbsar.org and we will start processing your application right away! We do require that persons interested in meeting me apply online and be approved as an adopter first so please visit our website and submit your application today!
Our adoption process requires that any pet in your household be current on it's vaccinations and heartworm preventative as well as spayed/neutered unless there is a documented medical reason on file with your veterinarian. Dogs must be current on DHLPP, Rabies, and Heartworm Preventative, cats must be current on Distemper, Rabies, and Heartworm Preventative at the time of application.
