Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Beka currently lives with 3 other dogs and 2 cranky cats. She gets along great with the dogs and is learning to ignore the cats although she does love to playfully chase them if she sees them run. She has been introduced to teenagers but not yet small children.
Beka is currently crate trained. She sleeps in her crate at night and when her foster parent is away from the house but prefers to be a lap dog on top of anything else when humans are around! She's a dog that is very eager and quick to learn. She's learning to get comfortable on a leash and already knows basic commands like "sit" and "leave it".
Although Beka isn't fully potty trained YET, she is getting close. She goes out if prompted and has just started to learn to give signals when she wants to be let out for a potty break. Beka keeps busy during the day with a pretty regular puppy schedule that includes several hours of play, sleep and repeat.
Here are a few remarks about Beka from her foster:
--This beautiful little girl is going to make someone a wonderful companion! She is the sweetest little dog ever. Beka would love to spend the entire day with you playing and snuggling. She loves tummy rubs and snuggling on your lap for a nap. Her favorite toys are a rope tug and anything that squeaks at her. She’s also recently discovered the joys of a tennis ball! Because she’s so petite, rolling the ball down a hallway is perfect for her to run down and bring it back to you. She is nearly house trained and sleeps in a puppy play pen at night without fuss. She will occasionally try to play with our cat but the command “leave it” stops her if the kitty is unappreciative of the attention. She also knows “sit” and we’re working on “down”. She’s good on a leash for a short amount of time but will get better with practice….she just gets so excited about all of the new smells! She is SO smart; one look into those eyes will tell you she’s an old soul looking for a family to be totally devoted to.
Beka is spayed, microchipped, and current on vaccinations. Her adoption fee is $400.
