Swagger is a mellow sweetheart who is very friendly. He is a white and black DSH, about 2 years old. This handsome young cat is very easy-going and sociable. He fit right in with the other cats in the foster home.
Dogs are not one of Swagger’s favorite things. The dogs in the foster home are not aggressive towards cats, but he swiped the nose of one of the dogs for getting too close…more than once. Yes, the dog is a bit of a slow learner, but he loves the kitties and doesn’t really see that well anymore, so he sniffs everyone to identify them. Swagger was not used to that and felt threatened. Over time I expect that might change because Swagger was just defensive, not aggressive towards the dog.
Swagger minds his own business. He doesn’t really play with the other cats, but he doesn’t cause trouble, either. I think he could be happy as the only cat, but would also be fine in a home with multiple cats. Swagger definitely likes to be petted. Can’t say that he is a lap cat, mostly because he has only been in the foster home for a short time and so far has not seemed interested in being in someone’s lap.
This sweet handsome boy would fit in just about anywhere (remember the word of caution about dogs). He warms right up to people. He is very calm and sweet. We have not observed him with small children, but he would probably be fine if introduced correctly. He is not a petite little cat, so a small child is not going to be able to pick him up and carry him around.
Swagger is well-behaved. I have never found him on the kitchen counters or table or on top of the refrigerator. Most of the time his favorite activity is napping. I think that’s true of most cats, though. The prime napping location for him is in the cat tree near the hallway so that as everyone walks by they are sure to see him and give him a little attention. He is also litter-box trained. Swagger is just an all-around great cat!!
If you can give this wonderful, sweet boy the home he so deserves he will be a fantastic addition to your family. His adoption fee is $95 and includes all shots, neutering, testing, and micro-chipping. If you would like to meet Swagger he has been known to hang out at the Petsmart in Sunset Hills on occasion or you can call or text me at the number below to arrange a time to meet.
