Pennie's Story...
Pennie is an owner surrender and available for adoption. She is looking for a forever loving home. She is a little scared of men and will hide until she knows she is safe around them. She is great around women and children. Pennie is about 5 months old and we believe she is a Boxer X Australian Cattle Dog. She is super smart and learns quickly. She is housetrained, leash trained, and working hard one basic obedience. We believe she is going to be a larger/medium size dog (50-65 pounds). Pennie LOVES to snuggle on a soft comfy bed and so far has not been destructive with beds or soft toys. She would do best in a calmer home that can help her cultivate her personality and become the outgoing loving girl she is inside. If you are interested in adopting Pennie please call Town Of Estancia Animal Care and Control at 505-705-0041 or alenderman@townofestancia.com

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pennie, a Estancia Boxer/Australian Cattle Dog puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer/Australian Cattle Dog for sale in Estancia, or seeking a Boxer/Australian Cattle Dog puppy from a breeder in Estancia.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Estancia already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Estancia breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer/Australian Cattle Dog breeders who help with Boxer/Australian Cattle Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Estancia paves the way for another one to be saved.
