Here's what the humans have to say about me:
I was rescued by BREW almost nine years ago and was adopted by a wonderful family. They named me Philo, which means “Friend” in Greek. But sometimes life plays funny tricks on us and, sadly, they asked if I could be returned and adopted by another family.
So here I am, 11 years old and ready to get started all over again. Let me tell you a few things about myself: I’m a shorter guy and I weigh 33 pounds (you might say I am SOLID, and, yes, I could lose five or six pounds). It’s not that I eat too much; as a matter of fact I am a SLOW eater and really savor every bite. I also LOVE to sleep late in the morning, I won’t get out of bed until you coax me and then I hit the ground running.
I am 100% housebroken, I do not need to stay in a crate (but I am trained to go in there if you want me to), I like being petted and lying beside you on the couch but I do not climb up on the furniture, you will need to pick me up. I love being outdoors sniffing and exploring and I really get along great with other dogs and even cats (I do enjoy barking at those cats, I must admit!).
Another neat thing about me is that I have a green tattoo inside one of my ears and it says I’m “1 A”. Maybe I volunteered for the Army or Marines when I was much younger, or maybe I was a hunting dog or a breeder at one point. I must be a super special boy to be “1 A”!
Note from foster Mom and Dad: Philo was with us for a short period of time and was a complete joy. He fit right in with our four dogs and there were no accidents, no arguments and no attempts to escape. He is a very laid back boy and shows no signs of being 11 years old. We would have loved to keep him ourselves, but he will be a wonderful addition to the right forever family.
