My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Roxanne, but everyone calls me Roxy. I was a stray from Ohio, but I do have very good manners if I do say so myself. And I’ve had a litter of puppies or two even though I’m a very young girl, but that hasn’t affected my girlish figure. I’m rather small; around 15 lbs and I have the cutest little feet that love to dance around the house.
I was a little traumatized by loud noises, but I’ve been working on that. I can walk on a leash in the city without being too scared although sometimes the buses frighten me. I’m also a bit timid around new people and will do the belly-crawl over to them, but I really just want everyone to like me. I’ll use my nose to get under your hand to scratch my head and fling myself on my back if I think you’ll rub my tummy.
I’m working on housetraining and have the #1 part down pretty well. I do spend time in my crate when my foster mommy is gone, but I don’t mind too much. I like the snow and love sticking my head completely down in it and using it like a snow plow. I also have the cutest little howl that just makes everyone laugh. I do like to bolt out of the door; another thing that foster mommy says we’re working on, but once I get out I’m not real sure what to do so I just come back. I love toys and I love to clean out the toy box and spread them all over the house. I really like stuffed animals, but I can’t have any right now because my foster sister disembowels them. I have a couple that will come with me to my new home.
I usually sleep in my own bed, but sometimes foster mommy lets me get in bed with her. I LOVE that and will snuggle right up and put my nose in her neck and go right to sleep. I get along with the other Beagle here great. We run up and down the hall together and she’s teaching me to fetch, sit and stay, down. We also play a lot of tug-of-war.
So in closing if you’re looking for a young, energetic, playful cutie that loves to snuggle at the end of the day then I’m your girl.
