Newt's Story...
Hello Ladies (and gentlemen), my name is Newt. I think I'm devilishly handsome....my foster mom says I'm just funny looking. Regardless, I'm a stout little guy with an English Bulldog body, the cutest face, and a beagle-like tail. I'm built like a cinder block and weigh 31.5 pounds but I love to get up in laps and snuggle. I'm a little nervous at first around new things but am very sweet once I know you're not out to hurt me. I probably need to be in a home without small children though just to be safe. My foster mom is cratetraining me, teaching me how to walk on a leash, and be the spoiled pooch I'm meant to be. I LOVE other dogs of all sizes and to play. Cats are okay but I think it might be fun to chase them so will need some work with that.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Newt, a Harrisonburg English Bulldog/Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a English Bulldog/Beagle for sale in Harrisonburg, or seeking a English Bulldog/Beagle dog from a breeder in Harrisonburg.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Harrisonburg already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Harrisonburg breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even English Bulldog/Beagle breeders who help with English Bulldog/Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Harrisonburg paves the way for another one to be saved.
