This is one of our "hard to resist"  cats . He will quietly sit in a private cubicle observing the room, and when you come near, give you a little head tilt as if to invite you over. Take him up on it! He loves attention and never has an excited bitey or scratchy reaction from it no matter how much you may shower on him. His fur and his manner do make you want to stay awhile. He's quite tall, but nice and thick and his black and white splotches make one think of a Jersey Cow.  Kobe is the only cat I've seen with a little goatee. Very non-dominant, but will comfortably be near  cats  who are mellow. We're not sure of his age, so just guessed.

About Animal Assistance League of Orange County

About Our Shelter...

The Animal Assistance League of Orange County is a non-profit 501(c)3 no kill humane society dedicated to aiding lost and homeless pets, helping people with pet related problems, promoting responsible pet-ownership and pet population control, and preventing cruelty to animals through educational programs.

The organization took its first steps in 1973 with a few animal lovers who wanted to reunite pet owners with lost pets. Today there is a no-kill shelter located in Midway City, with a population of approximately 110 cats and dogs. There is a telephone/email helpline that assists pet owners with a variety of issues, including spay/neuter, pet aid for low-income pet owners, animal abuse and any number of other issues related to cats and dogs.

AALOC is managed almost entirely by volunteers. The reason we do what we do is that we care deeply about animal welfare and hope to make a difference - at least in our part of the world.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Our no-kill shelter is located at 15102 Jackson Street, Midway City, CA 92655. Potential adopters can visit any day from 10:00-3:00.

Our Adoption Process...

The fee for adoptions is $150/dogs, $100/cats. We require a home visit, veterinarian reference, application. Pools must be fenced. Dog doors not allowed for small pets due to the prevalence of coyotes. If there is a yard, the fence must be 5 feet. Gates should be locked.
