Here's what the humans have to say about me:
STILL AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION, DAUNTE who is a big, beautiful, black, neutered Standard Poodle.
His previous family remembers his AKC name as being "Demon Out of Hollywood". We do have a lot of connections with many Poodle people that have tried to find more information about his lines, pedigree and breeder, but everything has been a dead-end.
This however doesn't make Daunte a bad Poodle, just one that is recognized as really nice quality along with a great disposition which Poodles were bred for.
Daunte had been deeply loved and well cared for. Sadly he comes to us after his beloved mommy died. His daddy was having a difficult time adjusting to life without his wife and suffered from Parkinson's.
So a concerned neighbor (thank you, Diane) helped the family surrender Daunte to us.
This gorgeous Standard Poodle is 11 years old (11/06/2003) stands at 27" tall and is a healthy 65 pounds.
This big boy is very striking, sociable, quiet and is still active for his age. I have only heard him bark just a few times; especially when I come home from work when he's happy to see me.
Daunte has been around other large FEMALE dogs and has been enjoying being with "Winnie" and "Bailey".
Please no cats, no small dogs or other male dogs.
Daunte is good with our grandchildren who have been visiting, but Daunte prefers that they just go away and then he hangs around with adults.
Daunte previous owner felt a home with adults would be best for him. In a perfect world, it would be nice if Daunte were with another female dog.
While Daunte loves women, he has come to enjoy my husband Mike as they both love going for walks. Just grab the leash and watch Daunte come a running!
Daunte has also moved into bed with us at night! Good thing we have a big king sized bed!
Trust me, this a really nice boy that enjoys and appreciates our quiet home with all the attention Mike and I give him.
Winter and all the snow is gone (YEA!) and now I see that Daunte (and I) have gained some weight!
So we both need to go for some SHORT walks now. We are both "seniors", so there will be NO "mile long walks" for us!
Daunte's Vet appointment went just fine. He is strong, sturdy and healthy! His teeth cleaned up nicely, he has been wormed and all of his shots are up to date
We are accepting your "Application For Adoption" for Daunte. You MUST LIVE within a 1 days round trip drive from our location to adopt one of our Poodles.
His $275.00 (plus $19.00 Minnesota State Sales tax) adoption fee just helps pay for some of his Vet work, which includes his shots up to date, teeth cleaning, worming and Home Again micro chip registration.
Also included is his leash, collar, a large soft bed, a blanket, a large bag of Senior dog food, Dasuquin With MSM (Soft Chews), along with lots of good information to help your adoption start off on the right paw forward.
