Toby:
A great big dominant cat who wants to be with you and will kindly greet you when you walk in. Very playful with strings or sweatshirt ties! He may even go on your back if there is somebody else on your lap and you have on a nice thick shirt. Lay on the floor and he'll come right on up and settle down on your chest. Toby is definitely one of the favorites.
He's dominant enough in his cat room to have no scuffles with any of the others.  He'll just go do something else if the toy, person or treat he wants, isn't available at the moment.

Our vet recommends that cats in the room where Toby is, not go to homes with other cats, since a couple of years ago, one cat died of FIP from that room. The vet thinks these cats could possibly carry it to another cat who may be more susceptible than they are.

About Animal Assistance League of Orange County

About Our Shelter...

The Animal Assistance League of Orange County is a non-profit 501(c)3 no kill humane society dedicated to aiding lost and homeless pets, helping people with pet related problems, promoting responsible pet-ownership and pet population control, and preventing cruelty to animals through educational programs.

The organization took its first steps in 1973 with a few animal lovers who wanted to reunite pet owners with lost pets. Today there is a no-kill shelter located in Midway City, with a population of approximately 110 cats and dogs. There is a telephone/email helpline that assists pet owners with a variety of issues, including spay/neuter, pet aid for low-income pet owners, animal abuse and any number of other issues related to cats and dogs.

AALOC is managed almost entirely by volunteers. The reason we do what we do is that we care deeply about animal welfare and hope to make a difference - at least in our part of the world.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Our no-kill shelter is located at 15102 Jackson Street, Midway City, CA 92655. Potential adopters can visit any day from 10:00-3:00.
