Our beautiful friend Reeses sure has been through a lot in his young life, and he is ready to start over with a wonderful family. Reeses came to us in November of 2014 with his friend Buttons, when they were turned in by their owner who could no longer care for them. The boys were terribly neglected and suffering for it. They had mats throughout their bodies and ears that were so impacted with dirt that their ear canals were not even visible. After lots of brushing, cleaning, and good medical treatment, the boys got back on their feet and were like brand new kittens. Unfortunately, we recently discovered that Buttons had more going on than just enormous mass was discovered in his lung, and Buttons began to have trouble breathing. His condition deteriorated rapidly and sadly, he has left us to go on to a better place. Reeses is on his own now, and could sure use the comfort of a new, loving family to give him the great home that he's never had.

Reeses is about 5 1/2 years old and has been declawed by his former owner. He has developed arthritis in his back legs, quite possibly a result of the declawing that was inflicted upon him. Reeses will need medication to make him more comfortable with his condition, but please don't let that stop you from coming to meet him. He is a big (literally!), beautiful, lovable, outgoing boy that just adores people and everyone he meets. He is so easy going and wants nothing more than to be loved and treated with kindness. Reeses gets along fine with other cats and with people of all ages, but will need a home with no dogs. He would transition easily into a great new home with a family that promises to love and care for him always, and never let him suffer again. File#24107 11/11/14
