Angela's Info...

I am already spayed, in need of an experienced adopter, up to date with shots, and not good with kids.

Angela's Story...
Big fan of: Playtime! Angela loves to chase the laser pointer and also enjoys playing with homemade toys like the plastic rings found on milk jugs. She also likes to stay warm during these cold winter nights by snuggling up for a long winter’s nap on a soft blanket!

Not a big fan of: Although Angela is a sweet girl, she doesn’t like to leap ‘paws first’ into new relationships. Instead she prefers to take her time and make new friends at her own pace.

A little more… Angela can be a bit skittish and can take a while to warm up to new people. However, she recently spent several weeks in a foster home and her foster parents reported that she became less frightened as time went on, and soon became a lovable member of the household!

Dream home: Angela would love a home where she can take her time acclimating to her new surroundings. She would do best in a home without young children, whose quick movements may scare her a bit. Angela is an adorable girl who just can’t wait to find her ‘furever’ home—could that home be yours?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Angela, a Chicago Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
