My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi my name’s Daisy and first things first; I LOVE People! I’m just a mellow California girl who recently relocated to Portland and I am looking for people to love. Like my home state, I am sunny, sweet and chill, but can sometimes quickly switch to an intensely soulful serious side. I like daily walks, car rides, chasing cats and squirrels, playdates with my buddy Otis, a pitbull a little bit smaller than me, and long naps. I also really REALLY love nothing better than cuddling on the sofa with my foster mom to watch a movie, or being anyplace close to her or any other people. On walks I tell EVERYBODY hello! Sometimes I get so excited I pull a little on my leash. Stuffed toys are great fun to fling around and de-stuff, and sometimes I get so happy I just have to roll on my back, wiggle-waggle around and kick up my heels – that’s just the kind of goofy free spirit I am! Hate peanut butter, but love cheese wiz.

I am good with kids, I can be very gentle, but sometimes I forget my size so 8 and older would be best. When I am left home alone it makes me nervous and scared, but when I am left in my crate I do just fine waiting for everyone to get home, so a home with someone with another dog or someone who is home a lot would be ideal. I like other pitbulls and dogs close to my own size, but little dogs and cats are not a good fit for me. Oh! And my old life was rough, so sometimes I look for food on the counters (sorry!) but I am learning not to do that since I get plenty of food now. I really really want a family to love, if you take me home I will lay at your feet and gaze at you with love from my deep soulful eyes, give you some kisses, follow you around and love you forever!
