My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! My name is Nu and I really want a home to call my own. I have one of the best smiles you will ever see, and I love to share it, especially to my person. I’m a very sweet girl who really wants nothing more than a person to cuddle up with – I’ll lay on my bed, on your bed if I’m allowed, or on our sofa.
I really do love being around my people. I think it’s because I had to spend the night at a few different places as I was growing up, sometimes by myself. I don’t really like to think about those days because it got pretty rough. I used to get pretty anxious going to different places, but my foster person has been so good to me! I’ve had formal training and learned to feel more confident. It’s still takes a little work for me, though, so you’ll need to give me some time and hold my paw through new experiences. Because of the rough times I had (when some people thought I would be a good “bait dog” and let other dogs attack me), I’m not very good with other dogs. The training really helped me, but we still have to be really careful because I might react too quickly.
I love, love, love being around my people. Wait, I already said that. I really like little kid type people, too. And with some work and dedication, I might fit in with some new pet brothers and sisters…but then again, being an only child does sound nice. I know some tricks, too! I can sit and stay and will come as soon as I’m called (with a smile of course). I don’t get into any trouble when I’m left home by myself, and even though it’s not very polite to talk about, but I’m also perfectly potty trained. I love going for long walks, and rides in the car, and playing fetch!
Oh my, I just thought about sitting with you watching TV and it absolutely made me smile. I’m thinking we should give that a try!
