Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Blue is a stunning Australian Shepherd who is probably around 4 years old. He is a pretty laid back aussie and loves to lay his head on your lap and get ear scratches. If you let him, he will climb right up onto your lap for a snuggle. He is very polite on leash and loves to go for walks. Blue also gets along great with other dogs of all sizes and has shown no interest in pet rabbits, or cats.
Blue is working on his crate training, but only fusses a little bit now. He is good when left loose in the house and will happily sleep on his dog bed (or your bed!) all night long. When he came in to rescue he had some broken teeth, so those have been removed and his mouth is much more comfortable now. His missing teeth have no affect on his ability to eat or play or chew on toys; you would never even know that they are gone!
Blue loves people and is very affectionate, but he is uncomfortable with strangers giving him hugs and being very close to his face. He is very polite about letting you know if he is uncomfortable, but he may not appreciate very young children who do not understand doggie language.
Blue is the sweetest, most handsome dog around and is looking for a family of his own to love him and take care of him. If you think Blue is the dog for you, then apply to meet him at www.newhoperescue.org
