Dolly's Story...
Can you think of anything cuter than a Beagle puppy!! Dolly arrived at a local shelter as a stray. When no one came to claim her, EARS jumped in to rescue the little doll. Dolly is about 12 weeks old and weighs almost 9 pounds as of March 10. She is a typical puppy who likes to run and play, eat and chew, sleep and cuddle. We are teaching her some basic commands like sit and how to walk on a leash. We will be doing a foster-to-adopt adoption so Dolly and her new family can enjoy the fun and excitement of raising a puppy. Please note that we don't recommend Dolly to families with children under 5 because her teeth and nails are sharp and she might accidentally hurt a young child.

We are a RESCUE GROUP, not a shelter, and all of our animals are in foster homes. To start the adoption process, email us at adoptions@earstexas.org requesting an application. Submitting an application does not commit you in any way, but helps us make the best match between people and our available dogs.

All of the dogs in our program are inside dogs and are completely vetted including all vaccinations, spayed/neutered, free of internal parasites, microchipped, heartworm negative and on prevention before adoption. Our adoption process includes an application, check of vet records or personal references, interview, neutral site meet & greet with the dog and your family, and a home visit.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dolly, a Dallas Beagle puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle for sale in Dallas, or seeking a Beagle puppy from a breeder in Dallas.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Dallas already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Dallas breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle breeders who help with Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Dallas paves the way for another one to be saved.
