for one too. Find a pet to adopt.

DANDY's Info...

I am already neutered, purebred, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

DANDY's Story...
Dandy is another one of our very handsome black Lab males that is currently available for adoption. Dandy is approx. 18 months old and is at his adult size and weight at 50 lbs. He has a beautiful solid black coat that is sleek and shiny. Dandy is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, fully treated for heart worms and is on all monthly preventatives.

Dandy and companion girlfriend, Chelsea, were surrendered to us from a local resident who said he "just can't take care of the dogs anymore." That is always a sad thing to hear. But we are hoping to find a wonderful home for Dandy. Dandy is a little shy at first, but will warm up very quickly. He is active and loves to play. He is great with all dogs, cats, and loves people large and small. Dandy is learning to walk on his leash and much prefers the freedom of running around the back yard chasing birds and squirrels and anything that moves. Loves the water like any Lab would. He is very loving and affectionate and would be a great dog for any active individual or family.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

DANDY, a Glastonbury Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Glastonbury, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Glastonbury.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Glastonbury already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Glastonbury breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Glastonbury paves the way for another one to be saved.
