Mooka's Story...
Mooka is a happy and healthy young female cat looking for a fun loving home. She is a sassy girl that loves attention but only on her terms, when she has had enough she is not afraid to let you know. She will be able to keep you entertained for hours as she is very active and loves to romp and play. She is very tolerant of other animals although she does pick and choose which ones she will allow the honour of playing with her. Mooka would be very happy as a single pet or with other pets in the home. She would do well with older children but her sassy attitude may be a night much for young kids to take in. If you are looking to add a cute, sassy and spirited young lady to your life go to our website today (www.nwas.ca) and fill out an adoption application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mooka, a Smithers Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Smithers, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Smithers.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Smithers already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Smithers breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Smithers paves the way for another one to be saved.
