Carmen's Story...
9 yrs old and about 40 lbs. Good with other dogs and cat friendly too. Though she is shy at first with new people, she loves attention once she gets to know you! She has had no accidents in her foster home. She walks nicely on a leash and rides well in the car. She is a great girl!

From her foster mom:
Foster Carmen continues her search for a wonderful furever home for the holidays ❤
She visited a nursing home and was as gentle, loving, and sweet as she could be! Lots of tail wagging! She discovered Frosty Paws are yummy 😎
Child, dog & cat friendly, house & crate trained.

Adoption fee of $175 covers all vetting including spay/neuter surgery, vaccines, microchip heartworm test and treatment if needed and any other medical that may be required while in rescue.

We only do adoptions on Saturday and not all animals are able to attend so if you would like to see a specific animal please let us know so that we can make arrangements for it to be present at the event. Event locations do vary so please check the homepage to find out where we will be this week.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Carmen, a Mount Pleasant Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Mount Pleasant, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Mount Pleasant.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Mount Pleasant already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Mount Pleasant breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Mount Pleasant paves the way for another one to be saved.
