Delilah's Story...
Delilah is all puppy, although she is around a year old, according to the vets. She looks and acts like a 9-month-old. She is very loving and likes to play all the time. She likes all other dogs and just wants to rough house with them. She also sees people that way, so she is a bit of a mouther. I would recommend her for older children only. I would also recommend her for a home with medium to large dogs, as too small a dog might be over powered by her enthusiasm. Delilah likes everyone and is extremely friendly. Climbing in your lap and giving you a hug is her way of saying hello. At around 60 lbs., she may not gain more than another 5 pounds, and she is on the short side. Her paws do not reflect her size, as they are big. Spoiled in her foster home, she climbs on the furniture; but otherwise is great in the house. She is left free for hours at a time and is fine. She is house broken and uses a dog door at her foster home. Chasing squirrels is a favorite pastime of hers, and she requires a lot of chew toys as she is busy, busy, busy. She will need training to walk well on a leash as well as to break her mouthing habit and to generally teach her all the obedience basics. An active home with another playful dog is the best match for Delilah's energy level and need for a playmate. Delilah is extremely pretty, quite smart, and playful, and will bring a lifetime of happiness to the lucky family that adopts her.
