Zoey's Story...
Zoey is a petite little golden Griffon Terrier mix girl about 2 years old. She came in with a sore paw and was somewhat snippy but a trip to the vet and some meds seems to have greatly improved her disposition. Zoey is a bit timid and startles at fast movements but in general is sweet, affectionate and curious. Zoey came in as a stray so we don't have any history on her. She is ok on lead and accepts treats nicely. She likes people and accepts handling & brushing. Zoey enjoys cuddling and should make an excellent lapdog. She sits nicely in her kennel and likes to show off her smile whenever people are around. Zoey will most likely do best in a home with adults as younger children may be a bit too much for her.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Zoey, a Meridian Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) for sale in Meridian, or seeking a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog from a breeder in Meridian.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Meridian already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Meridian breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) breeders who help with Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Meridian paves the way for another one to be saved.
