Zane's Story...
Zane is a small baby boy at ten weeks, born on New Year's Eve. He is playful but has a very gentle and loving disposition. Zane is a little shy at first but once he is familiar with you he will take as much cuddling and attention as you are willing to give. He is pad trained inside and is well on his way to being housebroken outdoors. This little guy is comfortable with dogs of all sizes. He has been introduced to cats and seems to be indifferent to them. He is okay around babies and small children. We are working on his leash training, sitting and coming when called. He is crate trained. He is responsive to discipline and is eager to please. The vet estimates that Zane's maximum weight should be under twenty pounds. His mom is about 17 pounds and a terrier mix.

Zane is neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccines, microchipped, and heartworm negative. He is currently fostered in Huntsville, Alabama but is not picky about where he ends up as long as he is an inside dog and loved.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Zane, a Knoxville Beagle/German Shorthaired Pointer puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle/German Shorthaired Pointer for sale in Knoxville, or seeking a Beagle/German Shorthaired Pointer puppy from a breeder in Knoxville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Knoxville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Knoxville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle/German Shorthaired Pointer breeders who help with Beagle/German Shorthaired Pointer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Knoxville paves the way for another one to be saved.
