Westgate's Story...
This sweet little border terrier mix is full of personality. He is approx 3.5 months old as of march 15 /15 and weighs 15.2 lbs.. he has pretty big feet and when fully grown will probably be in the 30-40lbs range at least.. he is just adorable, a typical puppy always on the go, running and playing with his puppy buddies, loves to have his nose to the ground following all the wonderful scents, he is not fully house or leash trained and will need his new family to help him with puppy basic obedience and continue his house training.

The total adoption cost of $425 includes the required interstate health certificate and transport , spay/neuter, shots including rabies, bordatella, parvo, lepto, distemper and canine influenza, and micro chip with a pre paid registration . The total amount is payable to Shaggy Dog Rescue which is a 501c3. All our dogs are in foster care, there is no physical shelter. Some have not yet arrived in PA.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Westgate, a Allentown Border Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Terrier for sale in Allentown, or seeking a Border Terrier dog from a breeder in Allentown.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Allentown already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Allentown breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Terrier breeders who help with Border Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Allentown paves the way for another one to be saved.
