My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Baxter and I was living on the front porch of an older lady in Geneva. She did everything she could to keep me warm but it just got too cold out. I am so happy to be inside now. My foster mom took me to the vet where they saw I had some frostbite on my paws but also that I am FIV positive.

The vet said what that means is that I can still live a pretty normal cat life..I just need to be taken to the vet right away if I get sick for treatment. I can't pass this to humans. I can only give to other cats through deep bite wounds.

I would do best with other FIV+ cats or by myself. Right now I am staying in a warm bathroom and being spoiled but I really want to be able to run around. I am crazy affectionate, love to head-butt and be scratched and petted.
