September 2015 update:
What a lucky and gorgeous boy Spot is! He was saved from a southern shelter by our rescue partners on his very last day. Spot is now about 10 months old (as of early September) and he loves attention. He is about 45 lbs and appears to be a spaniel mix of some sort.
Spot is very attached to his furry foster sister and she has shown him the ropes of the family rules and gives him confidence when meeting new people, etc.
Spot seems to like the comfort and safety of his crate when his family is not home; he will whimper a little but then settles down. His foster parents think he would benefit from having another dog in the house but could adjust if a family is home a lot. He has played with a variety of other dogs and is usually good but he can get overstimulated and play too rough so he needs his humans to intervene.
Spot is a cuddle bug with his humans and is very sweet and loving. Spot has made some nice strides – he now willingly gets in the car to go for a ride. He has gone on some sailing adventures and even on a paddle board with his foster mom. He doesn’t shy away from new ways to have fun!
A trainer worked with Spot and gave some tips on giving him good exercise and structure. A new family will have to continue to work with him. Spot has met some children and not done very well - he gets overexcited and forgets his manners. A home with adults only or older teenage kids would be ideal.

Please note, we do not have a physical location, but we are supported by a network of wonderful foster homes that are spread throughout New England. A dog will need to be visited by a prospective adopter in the foster home where they are feeling safe and comfortable.
