Keli's Story...

Name: Keli

Shelter Resident Since: 3/8/14

Breed: Dwarf Mix

Sex: Female

Age When Entered Shelter: 6 months old

Color(s) Markings: black with a white nose

Weight: 5 lbs 5 oz

Biography: Sweet Keli was found stray on the streets of Phildelphia. Just days after her arrival at ACCT Philly, she gave birth to 3 babies. Sadly, one did not survive. Even though she was a young mother, Keli took her duties seriously and raised two wonderful bunnies, Panda and Bear. As beautifully and completely as Keli took to mothering, those days are well behind her and it is now her time! Keli would do best in a quiet home or in a family with older children. With careful introductions, she would also do well with other furry family members. Perhaps your home can provide Keli with some much-needed and well-deserved time to just kick up her heels and have fun!

If this little one appeals to you, hop over to our adoption application so this bun can start a new life at your home!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Keli, a Newport Dwarf was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dwarf for sale in Newport, or seeking a Dwarf from a breeder in Newport.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Newport already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Newport breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dwarf breeders who help with Dwarf rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Newport paves the way for another one to be saved.
