Meet Grande!
He is a BIG mature male, maybe Golden Retreiver or Great Pyrenees mix. He is very loving, pretty easy on a leash, and LOVES treats! If you want a big hunk of furry doggy love who will love your cooking and adore you, come out & meet Grande! He goes out with our other large dogs, and wasn't all that interested in our pound cat. He's mostly interested in affection & food! He is an older guy, a little stiff in the hips, so may not be up to a lot of rough-housing with other dogs.
Born Again Pit Bull Rescue regularly works with the wonderful people at the Del Norte County Animal Control located out in rural Crescent City, CA (a tiny coastal city on the OR/CA border). They have a very small shelter with small indoor 3x6 kennel runs, low foot traffic, odd adoption viewing hours and it rains a lot which means the dogs cant come outside and play.
We want you to see some really great dogs that they have in their care--it's just a 5-hour drive from Portland to adopt your new BFF! *Please note that occasionally there are volunteers who can assist with transporting the dog from the shelter to Grants Pass/Eugene/Salem/Portland *
Del Norte County Animal Control is located in Crescent City, CA. They are open Monday – Friday from 8am to 5pm. They are closed Saturday and Sunday.
