Lucy - NY 2015's Story...
Lucy was surrendered because her human mom is not well and had to give her up. At 11 she has a lot to offer as a quiet mellow senior. She has several good years left and would love to spend them with you. She will do the happy dance for you. She was born in Mexico.

NO INVISIBLE FENCING. It does not keep most pyrs in and does not protect them from other animals or people who enter the yard. Nor does it protect other animals and people who enter their yard. These are guardian dogs by nature.

The beauty of a Great Pyrenees can take your breath away, but they are unique dogs which require dedicated owners who have thoroughly researched the traits of the breed. Feel free to visit our website at www.nepyresq.org for information to start your journey!

Northeast Pyrenees Rescue sponsors dogs from the Northeast including New Jersey for placement in homes in our region.
Great Pyrenees are known for their barking as they were bred to be Livestock Guardians. HOWEVER, a dog not raised around farm animals does not automatically become a Livestock Guardian. They are trained from birth to do that job. If you need a working dog you should contact a reputable breeder for a trained dog. Find breeders at Great Pyrenees Club of America www.gpcaonline.org

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lucy - NY 2015, a Lee Great Pyrenees dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Great Pyrenees for sale in Lee, or seeking a Great Pyrenees dog from a breeder in Lee.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lee already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lee breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Great Pyrenees breeders who help with Great Pyrenees rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lee paves the way for another one to be saved.
