Important Note

Sundance "Sunny D" is best friends with Oreo. Please adopt both of them so they can stay together!
Sundance and her 7 littermates were rescued when they were about 4 weeks old. All of her littermates (except Oreo) have been adopted. This was a very unique litter in that all of them looked distinctly different from each other.

Now it is Sunny D and Oreo's turn to be adopted! They are playful puppies that gets along well with other dogs. Sunny D does better with dogs that are larger than her. She lives in a foster home with Oreo and several other dogs. When she was younger she lived in a home withe cats, so she is probably still OK with cats.

Sundance has beautiful eyes. One is blue and the other is 1/4 blue and 3/4 brown.

Sundance also loves kids. If you have kids it would be a bonus for her!

Are you ready to make Sundance and Oreo members of your family?

Unlike the rest of her litter, Sundance will probably not get very large. She weighs 19 pounds. Oreo weighs 29 pounds and the rest of their littermates each weigh over 35 pounds!).

We are a small rescue that picks up dogs off the streets and helps them find their homes or helps them find new homes.

We also help find homes for dogs that have been relinquished by their owners. In addition, we pull last-chance dogs from our local animal shelter.

Our goal is to assist the rescue community in our area in decreasing the euthanasia rate at the shelter.

Our dogs live in foster homes while waiting to be adopted. Our fosters love and care for them as if they are their own dogs.

Our Adoption Process...

After filling our our required Adoption Application, we will schedule a home visit. The home visit is to make sure our dog gets along with any existing pets in the home. We also check for obvious hazards and make sure the yard is secure.

If everything checks out OK, the next step is the Adoption Application, which finalizes the adoption. There is an adoption fee for each dog. (All dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations and micro-chipped.)

After the adoption is complete, there are follow-up wellness checks to make sure everything is working out for the adopters and the adopted dog.

At any time after the adoption is finalized, if the adopter decides to get rid of the dog, it must be returned to Cherished K-9 All Breed Rescue.
