Bear is a 4 year old red merle Australian Shepard. He is very friendly to everyone he meets, even children. He does well with other dogs but seems to want to chase cats. He enjoys being at your side and loves a good walk. He is housebroke and crate trained.

His adoption fee is $200 and covers the cost of his neuter, vaccines, preventative medications, microchip and 30 day free trial pet insurance. We are a 501c3 non profit organization and your adoption fee is a tax deductible contribution.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bear, a Delaware Australian Shepherd dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd for sale in Delaware, or seeking a Australian Shepherd dog from a breeder in Delaware.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Delaware already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Delaware breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd breeders who help with Australian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Delaware paves the way for another one to be saved.
