Sadie Anne's Story...
Sadie Anne is a wonderful 9 yr old Aussie mix. She is house and crate trained, good with other dogs. She was dropped off at a vets office to be put to sleep because of anal gland issues. They talked the owner into letting them place her instead. We did the surgery on her anal glands and she is good as new. She loves hanging out in the home with her foster mom and also making sure the squirrels are kept out of the yard. You would never know she was 9 yrs old.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sadie Anne, a Wichita Australian Shepherd dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd for sale in Wichita, or seeking a Australian Shepherd dog from a breeder in Wichita.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Wichita already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Wichita breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd breeders who help with Australian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Wichita paves the way for another one to be saved.
