Freeway is slow to warm up, but she will be your best friend once you spend some time with her. Freeway is 4 years old and she came to the shelter in March 2015 after being found as a stray running alongside a busy freeway. Freeway really loves taking care rides and going on walks/jogs. A volunteer has been taking her to Wildwood Park on the weekends and Freeway loves these little adventures. Freeway loves all people, but she would do best with adults and older children. She can also be a bit picky about her canine friends and seems to do best with male dogs. If you think you might be that special person Freeway has been waiting for, please come meet her at the HSPC.

Freeway is sponsored by her special friend, Alexis Leidigh. Thank you Alexis for your generous donation in honor of Freeway!

About Humane Society of Pulaski County

About Our Shelter...

The mission of the Humane Society of Pulaski County is to rescue, care for and find homes for abandoned, abused, homeless and unwanted animals; to reduce suffering of animals; and to reduce the number of homeless animals through adoption, spay/neuter, and through education.

The Humane Society of Pulaski County provides access to low-cost, healthy, inoculated, sterilized animals to people seeking to adopt animals as pets only. Adopters are screened to see if they can provide the basics of care for the animals, proper housing, and continued veterinary maintenance; and have no history of animal abuse or irresponsible ownership.

The Humane Society is a private no-kill shelter, supported solely by donations, fund-raisers, bequests and grants. We receive no city, county or state funding, nor are we affiliated with any other organization. We have been rescuing animals since 1946, and have been in our present building since 2000.
