Lady Jane's Story...
Lady Jane will undergo surgery on St. Patrick's day to remove her eye that was damaged before she came to BMSCR. She wants you to know that she can see perfectly fine out of the other one and will know her fur-ever home when she sees it. She's a gentle, sweet, 6 mth old female who has lots of love to give, so don't let her having just one eye turn you away from all the blessings you will receive from this beautiful girl!
For Siamese and Siamese-related breeds (e.g., Tonkinese, Snowshoes, Colorpoints, Birmans, Himalayans, Bengals, etc.) a donation of $125 is requested to help continue the rescue effort. For all others, we ask $100. All cats and kittens are fully vaccinated for FVRCP, FeLV, and rabies; all are (or will be) altered and microchipped at our expense. All come with a 2-week health guarantee, during which time any illness or parasite problem that may be incubating will be handled by Blue's Mews through their cooperating veterinarians. Cats and kittens have a 2-week 'return for money back' warranty. After 2 weeks, we will still take them back, but will gratefully accept your donation to help other cats and kittens. A selection of our kittens and cats may be seen every weekend at Pet Supplies Plus in Beavercreek and Kettering from 1 to 6 on Saturdays and 1 to 5 on Sundays. For more information, please call, or preferably text, 937-271-1411 or email cat_rescue@earthlink.net.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lady Jane, a Fairborn Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Fairborn, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Fairborn.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Fairborn already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Fairborn breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Fairborn paves the way for another one to be saved.
