Meet Clara who was born around October 28, 2014. Clara has been in in foster care with our rescue since she was about 8 weeks old. Please won't someone give this sweet girl a chance. Black kitties are harder to find homes for, and adults even harder. She has beautiful eyes, that really speak to you. She's a full figured girl with short legs that so adds to her lovely character. She loves to roll over and get her belly rubbed like a dog. She loves being around people and receiving attention, and can be a huge talker. If she has a little to mouse in her mouth, she walks around crying, it's so adorable. She will also talk when she is looking for pets and belly rubs. She is just the cutest kitty.

Clara was rescued from a southern Illinois shelter. She is being fostered in Naperville around other cats and dogs and around a teen child all of whom she is great with. Clara is FABULOUS with kitties but would be best in a home with an older calmer dogs who won't chase her. She is great with the senior dogs in the foster home, but stay away from crazy younger dogs. She has met gentle young children, and was totally drawn to them. She loves kids who have cat experience and know how to be nice with them.

If you would like to meet Clara, please fill out an adoption application today which can be found at! With an approved application, we will then schedule a meet and greet for you. Clara is being fostered in a South Naperville home, which is where you would go to meet her.

The adoption fee of $25.00 includes: The spay which is done, kitty box trained, microchipped, FeLv test which was negative, FIV test which was negative, dewormed, up to date on routine vaccinations for FVRCP, Rabies Vaccination, 3 year rabies vaccination, and given revolution as a flea preventative.

You will also receive a free health exam visit to either Crest Hill Cat and Dog Clinic, Yorkville Animal Hospital, Midwest Animal Hospital in Orland Park, Knoll Animal Hospital in Carol Stream, Countryside Animal Hospital, Springbrook Animal Care Center in Naperville, Naperville Animal Hospital or Knoll Animal Hospital of Carol Stream.

About Our Rescue Group...

Please go to our website at, and click on the fostering tab for more information about fostering

Angels on Wheels Animal Rescue is a 501(c)(3), non-for-profit, state licensed organization. We are composed of animal-loving volunteers that work vigorously to make a difference in the lives of abandoned animals. We are dedicated to finding and saving neglected and unwanted animals from high kill shelters on death row to give them a second chance for life.

Our purpose is to keep these babies out of already crowded Animal Control Facilities, to provide them with proper medical treatment and then wonderful homes. If you need assistance with Spaying and Neutering your animals, please contact us.

We can't save these babies without your help. Please consider fostering, helping with transporting animals, volunteering by feeding and watering the kittens at Petco, helping with adoption days or donating; either monetary, old pet carriers, blankets, food, newspaper, paper towels, toys, the list is endless. Most importantly please, please spay and neuter all of your pets. It takes two to have a litter.

We may not be able to change change the world, but together, we can change the world for some.

Thank you for viewing our animals, considering adoption instead of buying and for your generousity.

Every day 10,000 humans are born in the U.S. and each day 70,000 puppies and kittens are also born. As long as these birth rates exist, there will never be enough homes for all of the animals. As a result, millions of healthy, loving cats, dogs, kittens and puppies face early deaths as a form of animal control. Others are left to fend for themselves against automobiles, the elements, other animal and cruel humans. You can help just by spaying and neutering your pets, don't ever buy from a pet store, as almost every one of them uses some form of a pupy mill, and remind people to support and ADOPT from a shelter or rescue. Thank you.
