My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Margo is a beautiful one year old shepherd/golden retriever mix. She is about 35 lbs in size and was pulled from the Dyersburg animal shelter. She tested heartworm neg and we've had her on preventatives ever since. Margo at first was fostered in a situation where all the dogs were bigger than her and she was in a large dog pen at a working barn. She was barky to strangers in this setting. She is now in a residential foster home with multiple other dogs. she has been fine with all the dogs, most are her size are smaller.
Margo has the best ever full body wag and she really loves her toys!
Margo is quite the snuggler and loves to be hugged and loved on.
She loves to pick her "toy of the day" and carry it around wagging proudly showing everyone her special plaything.
She is very loyal and loves giving you attention as much as she loves getting it.
She actually acts like a six month old playful puppy.
(With out all the chewing and peepee)

The daughter of the foster mom says "If any one has ever dreamed that a soft stuffed animal could come to life and love you, then they should adopt Margo!"

. Margo's adoption fee is $150

We adopt dogs from Memphis Animal Shelter when we can. The shelter has an 83% euthanasia rate, one of the highest in the country. Unfortunately, any dog coming from Memphis Animal Shelter, and most other shelters for that matter, will have been in contact with contagious illness. Even though the dogs have been in foster care and appear to be in good health, they may become stressed when changing environments and exhibit signs and symptoms of illness. If you have other pets, they need to be up to date on vaccines before bringing a shelter dog into your home. We will take the adopted animal back, but we are not responsible for your other animal's vet care. We always disclose where the dogs have come from. Please ask for any information about the dogs and exercise due caution if you have immunocompromised animals.
