My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hey there! My name is Banjo. I am about 9 months old and just the sweetest girl ever! I weigh in at about 40 pounds but you know it’s not nice to ask a lady’s weight! I have been with my foster family for about two months now and they say that if I don’t go soon that they won’t let me leave! I’m fine with staying but my foster family says that I am such a good girl and an easy girl and that there is a family out there that would really miss out by not having the opportunity to adopt me. I look like a miniature Rottweiler. I have a cute curly tail!! At my foster family’s house I have a dog brother and a dog sister and a cat brother and a cat sister. I love every one of them! I like to bug the cat brother at times and would love to cuddle with him but he won’t let me.  I also have a new friend at my foster family’s house. His name is Max and he is a dog neighbor. He has become my best friend. We play a lot! He even sleeps on the back porch now.  I like him but I sleep inside like my dog brother and sister do. What would I like in a new home??? Well, I like to play. I like to fetch stuff – I don’t really like to bring it back but I do like to fetch it! My foster dad walks in the evenings through the woods and that is freaking awesome. Last night I chased two squirrels and one deer. That was glorious. I would love a place where I had other dog friends and a place where I can run and burn off energy. I’m not terribly energetic but I do like to play. I like to be outside a lot so a fenced in yard would be awesome. I stay outside at my foster family’s house each day while they go somewhere called “work” but they have lots of land and the driveway is ½ mile long so I don’t need a fence here. I am potty trained. I have never one time had an accident in my foster family’s house. I would love to tell them where I was before I ended up at the animal shelter but I can’t seem to find the words. ;) They say it’s rare to get a dog from there that is potty trained. But they listed me everywhere they knew locally to find my other people but no one came forward. Since being at my foster home I have learned a lot! I have learned that it’s okay to come inside. I was very wary of this initially. I have learned that sleeping on the bed with my foster mom and dad is nice. Sleeping on any of the dog beds in the house is nice too as long as I can hang half of my body off of it. I have learned that toys are soooo cool! I was afraid of those things at first but now we just play and play. I have also learned that “cookies” are yummy things. I have to sit to get one but that’s a very small price to pay! Please think about loving me as much as I will certainly love you.
