Dawn's Story...
Hello. I am a shy girl in search of a second chance, the dawn of new day. My previous life was full of chaos and heartache, so I am looking forward to a quiet forever home and the love of an owner. Please be aware that it takes me some time to warm up to new people and situations. I prefer to be the one that approaches new people rather than have them come to me. Don't mistake this for aloofness; I just need to take some time to hang back and assess the situation. Speak to me with kind, loving words and I will easily warm up. Once we are acquainted, I will be by your side at the ready for some cuddling. And, if you really want to win me over, give me a nice ear rub. If you have toys, then you will see my playful side. I am still getting the hang of how to play with toys, but I know I never want to be without them! Since I was an outside dog all my life, I will need some assistance adjusting to a house. But having a home of my own is something I could definitely get used to! I've heard tales of these soft, comfortable couch things. Sounds like something I would like to try. I am approved for households with children 12 and up. If you have other dogs at home, please bring them down to meet me before deciding to adopt. I would like to find my right canine companion. Is there room on your couch and in your heart for a sensitive gal like me? Come visit me today to see if you are the person I need.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dawn, a Harrisonburg Labrador Retriever/Mountain Cur dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Mountain Cur for sale in Harrisonburg, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Mountain Cur dog from a breeder in Harrisonburg.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Harrisonburg already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Harrisonburg breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Mountain Cur breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Mountain Cur rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Harrisonburg paves the way for another one to be saved.
