MEET BELLA -
EXTRA! EXTRA! Read all about it! Just saved- sweet, tiny, red, smooth, 9 lb female Bassottina (little sausage dog in Italian). She is Bellissima (very lovely/beautiful) and is called Bella. BELLA is just 3 yrs old and needs a tremendous amount of love and attention. She has never been held or loved as she was owned just to have babies to sell for profit. Very underweight, dirty and with nails in very poor condition, our Darling Bella has NEVER been in a home. Having spent her short life living only in a yard, Bella is so very grateful to have been rescued. If you're looking for an adorable little princess, Bellissima BELLA is cuteness overload. Get those applications in.
Like all Dachshunds, BELLA is high energy and enjoys playing and warming her little bones in the sunshine, so along with regular walks around her neighborhood, BELLA needs a secure fenced yard to run around and explore safely. While small in stature, doxies are big on personality and don't generally do well in apartments, with all of the noises and traffic that come with multiple dwellings in a confined space. To best set up our doxies and their new families for success, ODR, Inc., adopt to families who live in single family homes with secure fenced yards.
OUR CRITERIA (aka The Fine Print):
Based on 30 years of experience with rescue doxies, we have pretty strict criteria. Do you work from home/stay at home/work part time? Have a securely fenced yard? We do not place same gender dogs in a home unless they were raised together, and children need to be 10 or older (some exceptions IF the dog is a puppy or the child has been raised with a doxie). We prefer non smokers and a home with no other small animals (ferrets, hamsters, etc) Cats are on a case by case basis depending on the dog. Remember, these are rescues; many were surrendered because of these issues.
WHAT YOU GET IN RETURN WITH YOUR LITTLE RESCUE:
All our dogs are fully vetted, including spay/neuter, rabies, DHPP, Bordetella, Pyrantyl, nails trimmed, and dental when needed. They'll come with a basket of goodies, food, toys and a custom made harness. The adoption fee is $395, sorry no exceptions, as this covers the cost to rescue them, vet them and take care of them while in our rescue. It also helps towards the care of other doxies that come with huge vet or dental bills or need extensive behavioral training.
