Shelby's Story...
Hi! I'm Shelby! I am a very energetic 2-year-old beagle! I love going for walks, having behind my ears scratched, and giving kisses. I am potty trained as long as I keep to my schedule of going outside. I will also sit nicely if you offer me a small piece of cheese. My foster mum and dad are working with me on coming when called and shaking hands. My foster mum is also teaching me more appropriate ways to get attention, because I bark and jump a lot to try to get attention. Overall, I am a sweet girl and need a home that will enjoy my affection and high level of energy. If you are interested in meeting and/or adopting Shelby, please complete an adoption application at www.toledospetbullproject.com/adoption-info/

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Shelby, a Toledo Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle for sale in Toledo, or seeking a Beagle dog from a breeder in Toledo.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Toledo already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Toledo breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle breeders who help with Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Toledo paves the way for another one to be saved.
