My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Seraphina is a 22 month old female blue Neapolitan Mastiff. She came to ECGGR in March of this year. Upon intake she was unspayed, heartworm positive, had entropian and cherry eye in both eyes and was severely emaciated. Seraphina has been spayed, vaccinated, micochipped, and had surgery(2 times) on both of her eyes. Seraphina underwent her fisrt round of heartworm treatement on 7/17 and her second/third round on 8/18-8/19. She will now be completing her 30 days of crate rest and we will begin to take applications on her in the next two weeks. ONLY HOMES in VA and surrounding states will be considered for an adoptive home. Seraphina also has arthritis in her lower spine(spondylosis). Several of her lumbar vertebrae are fused or fusing. Anyone interested in adopting her must understand that she will likely continue to develop arthritis as she gets older, and may need future medical care. Anyone interested in adopting MUST be willing to continue her medical should she need it in the future. Seraphina loves other dogs, large and small and she is also good with cats. Although Seraphina is good with children, we are only looking to place her in a home with children 10 years of age and older.
