Hi! My name is Sparky and I would love to be your next family member! Unfortunately, my family moved away and didn't take me with them so I ended up at a high kill shelter. Unfortunately, I ate some bedding while I was there and ended up getting sick and having surgery. I'm 100% healed up now with no lingering issues and now looking for my forever home!!

My very favorite thing to do is to cruise around the town with my foster family. I would LOVE to find a family that will take me with them when they go places. I love going on trips to Home Depot or chilling out on a patio while my family has lunch. I'm an easy going guy and you can take me anywhere because I'm very well behaved out in public! We don't have to go anywhere specific...I just love being out and about!

I also love going on walks and hikes! I would make a great jogging partner too if you're into that! I will just run right along side you and I can keep up pretty well because I'm a very athletic boy! I also love to play play play! Fetch, tug of war and keep away are my favorite games and I will play with you as long as you want! I have a great medium energy level and benefit from daily exercise but I also like to just chill on my dog bed and take a nap while you watch TV. I think an active, outdoorsy family would be absolutely perfect for me!

My foster family doesn't have any kids but my old family left notes with the shelter that I am great with kids. My foster family can see that because I am just a fun loving guy who wants people to play with me. I would probably be better matched with bigger kids because I'm kind of a goofy guy who might accidentally knock over the little ones.

I currently live with other medium/large dogs (both male and female) and get along fine with them. My foster family thinks I may have grown up as an only dog because sometimes when I get over-excited and try to play with my foster siblings, I play a little too hard. I'm never trying to hurt anyone and am only trying to play but sometimes it doesn't come across that way. I really just love to play! I've been learning my boundaries but I still have some work to do so if I'm going to live with another dog, I will need a strong leader to make sure everything goes smoothly. I would be best matched with one other balanced, calmer medium/large female dog who would have patience for me as I learn the house rules! I would be perfectly happy being your only dog too! No kitties for me, though...I like to chase them :)

When you first meet me, I can be a little aloof but I'm actually a giant cuddlebug once I get to know you! I love laying on the couch with my foster mom and cuddling up in blankets to watch TV. I'm a very quiet boy and hardly ever bark. I'm potty trained and great on a leash too! I sleep in a crate at night, however, I prefer to have the run of the house when my family is away or at work.
