My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

The Wheaten Terrier/Schnauzer mix is a perfect combo for those with who are searching for an extremely smart and loyal family dog. Of utmost importance...they're famous for their great temperaments and extremely loving and snuggly ways. They're also known to be trustworthy and very gentle with family members and other family pets...and since they require a certain amounts of exercise and absolutely love being with their people...if a hike is the order of the day - count them in! These mixes are known to run joyfully and energetically through the Colorado mountains...and then crash on the couch snuggling close to their favorite humans and canines. Annie is an absolutely adorable and engaging girl who favors the coat and intellect of the Schnauzer while taking on the very engaging qualities of the Wheaten Terrier. She appears to be a non-shedding or very lightly shedding pup and will therefore require periodic baths/brushing and great nutrition to keep her coat healthy. As she loses the old hair of her shelter days, Annie's coat will grow in shining and less likely to shed.
Annie's sweet nature is just waiting to be enjoyed and appreciated...she makes close playmates everywhere she goes. Annie is outgoing and social and that means everyone she meets ultimately becomes a friend. You know when a loved one approaches, Anniei's tail starts the greeting and it wiggles up through her entire body ending into a smile. And if your lap is available, up Annie goes to cuddle and snuggle and let you know the level of her devotion. Anniei is such a wonderful being...we think she represents the best qualities of the Terriers. At about 11/2-2 years old and 31 lbs, she seems to have completely left behind the neglect and lack of love that made up her early life. Annie has become a fuzzy ball of good-will that loves to please - the happier her family is with her behavior, the more she shines with her accomplishments. We would like to see Annie in a home that includes her in family time and activities...she's very social and would thrive in a family that truly loves her and considers her a very important family member. Annie would be a wonderful companion for retirees who have the time and desire to be best friends with a truly adorable young pup. Annie doesn't require another dog to be happy...but does enjoy her canine relationships with kind and gentle dogs.

Annie will be arriving on transport in Boulder on 3/27/15. Applications are currently being accepted and can be found at http://farfelsrescue.com/adoption/.
