Susie and Jenny's Story...
These precious pups were brought to a local shelter as strays. They appear to be related but we aren't sure if they are mother/daughter or littermates or half-sisters. What we do know is that they are bonded and have more confidence and are not as needy when they are together. We would like to see them get adopted together because the two of them together are so easy to care for. Jenny is the black Cairn Terrier mix and Susie is the Yorkie mix. They weigh about 8 pounds and are around 2 to 3 years old. They both get along well with other dogs and rarely bark. They each like to play with their own toys but do not play with each other or other dogs. They both LOVE people and like to meet new people. They do very well in the crate and are crated together at night where they sleep without making a peep. They will voluntarily go in their crate to sleep and to eat and have learned the crate is a good place. Neither one is used to the car. Susie, in particular, throws up when she rides so they would not do well for someone who wants a dog that will travel.
We are a RESCUE GROUP, not a shelter, and all of our animals are in foster homes. To start the adoption process, email us at firstname.lastname@example.org requesting an application. Submitting an application does not commit you in any way, but helps us make the best match between people and our available dogs. All of the dogs in our program are inside dogs and are completely vetted including all vaccinations, spayed/neutered, free of internal parasites, microchipped, heartworm negative and on prevention before adoption. Our adoption process includes an application, check of vet records or personal references, interview, neutral site meet & greet with the dog and your family, and a home visit.
