Hamilton's Story...
Hi, my name is Hamilton. I am a 7 pound, 1 year old male chiweeni. I was rescued
from the streets of Las Vegas where I had been living for most of my life. I had to
depend on myself for food and shelter. I am shy at first, but warm up once I feel
comfortable around you. I am good with other dogs, like to sit on a lap and cuddle,
and love to follow my special human around. It would be great to find a forever home
where I can have a playmate. I sleep in a crate at night and will go in one during the
day if I need to (although I would prefer to be “free” in the house). I am working on
potty training, but remember I have never had to tell someone I need to go outside
before. Please call or text my foster mom Tracy at 702-321-0635 to set up a time to
meet me.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hamilton, a Las Vegas Dachshund/Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund/Chihuahua for sale in Las Vegas, or seeking a Dachshund/Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Las Vegas.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Las Vegas already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Las Vegas breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund/Chihuahua breeders who help with Dachshund/Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Las Vegas paves the way for another one to be saved.
