My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You may have seen the recent local news snippet “Good Smaritan walks 3 Miles to get Abandoned Dog to Animal Shelter.” Joey was found scared and abandoned, tied to a post with just a few lines written on a note around his neck:

My name is Joey. I am looking for a home. Please take care of me!!

And that’s exactly what we are going to do. Joey is a gorgeous and loving pointer mix, and wants affection more than anything. He is about a year old, and medium sized, weighing in at 43 lbs. This young boy is full of puppy energy, and loves to play with balls, dogs and his human. However, if you’re busy around the house, he is more than content to relax on the couch, knowing where you are. Joey is very smart, has been quick to potty train, and has easily learned to crate train. We’re also working on him with his basic commands and walking on a leash.

So if you have time and an open heart for him, please consider giving him his forever home!

If you are interested in meeting Joey, please download the Adoption Questionnaire, fill it out and fax it back to us at (310) 362-0321. You can also meet this and/or other available dogs at our weekend adoptions.

[Joey is 1 year old and weighs 43 lbs.]
