My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Gram is going to make one family very lucky! He is a perfect family pet and although he is young at 9 - 10 months of age, he is so well behaved it is hard to believe he is still a puppy. He is great with adults and children of all ages, other pets and wants to be friends with everyone he meets. He is well behaved in the home and would love a family that has the time to give him all the love he deserves. Gram currently weighs 68 lbs.

Here is what Gram's foster parents had to say:

The perfect dog! Gram is the best mix of mellow/energetic and so loving and cuddly that he is literally the perfect dog. For a puppy he is very well behaved and smart in the house. He is so gentle and never too over bearing, its impossible not to fall in love with him. He is friendly with everyone including children of all ages. He is a bit shy of strange men but warms up quickly. He is great with other dogs and on walks he just wants to say "hi" to everyone.

Gram seems like he is an old soul and is much better behaved then you would think for a 9 - 10 month old pup. In the home he is very well behaved and quiet. We have only ever heard him bark twice. He appears to know all of his basic commands, is crate trained and walks well on leash. His favourite things to do are play tug-o-war or fetch, go for walks, and hang out with his people. He is an amazing companion and is happy to do whatever you want to do. He is fully house trained and has never had an accident in the home. He will let you know when he wants to go out or will go sit by the door until you let him out.

Gram is a joy to take on walks as he walks well on leash and is very sweet to everyone we meet. How he ended up in a shelter is beyond me as it is obvious that he was well loved in his former life and someone spent a lot of time on his socialization and obedience training. He has all the basics down and would be good for even a first time dog owner. He is crate trained. He sleeps in the crate and roams free during the day unless no one is home. He loves his crate! He goes in there on his own just to relax and lay down or when he is told. He also eats his meals in the crate. He has never tried to run away from us and he loves going for car rides. He really just likes being with people and thinks everyone is his friend.

He is such a lovable pup! So sweet and gentle. He is a puppy with a dog mentality, he knows when to relax but he also knows how to play. He wants to please you and I'm sure would pick up on training very quickly although he would be fine without any further training if thats the route his adopters choose. He follows you everywhere you go and just wants to be with you. He will lay by the ground while you watch TV or by your feet in the kitchen.

He would be great with a family or a younger couple. He loves his walks and attention so definitely a family who has the time and energy to set aside time for those. His calm demeanor and gentleness would make him great for a family with kids, even first time dog owners as he is very calm and already a "house" dog.

If you would like to make this sweet boy a part of your family, please submit an application for consideration.
