Leo's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

Leo's Story...
Here's a snuggle bug who will play fetch until your arm drops off. Leo loves to play with humans and other dogs. He’s fascinated by toys of all kinds, especially ones he can toss up in the air and catch. His foster mom says he’s “the best fetcher” she’s ever seen. Leo loves attention and plenty of cuddling. He becomes a little jealous if the other dogs in his foster home are being petted and he isn’t. He doesn’t snarl or growl, just pushes his body in to make sure he gets his share of cuddling.

Leo is looking for an active family with dog-savvy children (ages 5-12) and someone home most of the time. He absolutely loves children, and we want him to have a family to live with. He must have a sizable securely fenced yard and plenty of mental and physical activity. Leo learns quickly and will do very well in an obedience class.

Leo loves to play with the two young boys in his foster home. He also likes to sleep with them or their parents. He has excellent house manners and goes to the door when he needs to go out. He needs to work on not jumping on people in greeting and on perfecting his leash skills, but he’s learned several commands already. As long as Leo has plenty of toys to play with, he does not destroy items in the home like many puppies do.

We know nothing about Leo’s history because he was picked up as a stray. He has a handsome light sable coat with a big white ruff, and four white paws. He’s had all his vaccinations and tests and has been neutered.

Leo is ... 14 inches tall, 16 pounds, and about 10 months old. His adoption fee is $350. Before you inquire about Leo, please read all the information on our website page, How to Adopt. It will answer your questions about our process and expectations. www.nvsr.org. Leo will be placed only in Virginia or the edges of the surrounding states.
