My story

DOB 10/1/08 Sasha was surrendered because her person has terminal cancer and can no longer take care of her. Unfortunately, no one in the family will step up to take Sasha and she has no where to go. Sasha has been with her person since she was 8 weeks old, the only dog, and they were always together before she had to be surrendered to us. Sasha loves people, but she does NOT like other dogs at all. She hasn't ever lived with another dog and has NO interest in doing so. Obviously, Sasha will need to be the only dog in her new home. She goes out to potty, but prefers to be in the house with her person. Sasha is heartworm negative and is on preventative. She weighs 25-30 pounds. Sasha needs to find a home soon where she can be loved on like she was before her person got so sick.

The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an online adoption application. You can find a copy of that application here. We sometimes receive a lot of interest on an animal and can't always reply to each email in a timely manner. An application does not obligate you to adopt from us, but it does show that you are serious about the adoption process. Please remember we are all volunteers.

After you submit your application please allow a few days for a volunteer to review your application. During this time your vet reference will be checked and a volunteer with determine if it is the best match for you and the animal. Applications are not approved on a first come, first serve basis. We match up the best home for the animal, so even if the pet has other applications, this does not mean he/she will be adopted to that home.

Once your application has been approved a volunteer with contact you to set up a phone interview. This is the perfect time for you to ask any questions you have about the adoption process and the animal you are interested in.
