Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Kale is one of those guys that got caught in an overcrowded and dreary high-kill shelter through no fault of his own. It's so difficult for any particular puppy to stand out and get the acknowledgement for a great temperament (and being so very handsome with a shining white coat with the adorable chocolate markings.) - and therefore get spared from euthanasia. As you might imagine...Kale must have been SO very special. He was recognized for the exceptional puppy he is and efforts were put forth to insure his safety and ultimate adoption. He would be a dream come true for anyone who enjoys the fun and silly personality of the Jack Russell combined with the very intelligent and more analytical personality of the Norfolk. Kale's foster mom had the following to say about this gorgeous guy:
Kale has been at my house for a few days now and he's getting happier and zanier as he grows more comfortable. He only barks or yips when he's by himself and lonely..but he's learning that we're not abandoning him and will return. Being just a baby, Kale loves his chew toys. He also really enjoys play with other dogs He'd be perfect if he's paired with another young dog or puppy to go a little crazy with..and then it's sleep-time cuddling up on his favorite dog bed. Kale hasn't met any young children yet, but he's great with my women friends who have come by.. so loving and sweet!
Kale is a calm yet playful young puppy who really doesn't have a single negative trait that I've noticed at this early age. He's a lovebug who wants nothing more than to warm your lap and be devoted and so sweet! He's learning to be great in the house and has been quite trustworthy for a baby. Kale's lucky new family is getting a true gem!
Farfel's Rescue was contacted to help find this wonderful guy the greatest home possible..he deserves the love and respect of a forever family. Kale is an exceptional doll baby (words of his foster mom) that is 4 months old and 12 lbs. (The vets anticipate Kale to be approximately 18 lbs when full-grown). He's such a great size...large enough to be able to enjoy the trails of Colorado with his new family yet compact enough to take just about anywhere. He'll be the perfect size to be the most cuddly lap dog around!
We envision this super-loving puppy either in an adult household who choose to spend lots of time with a fuzzy best friend. Like all puppies, Kale will benefit from group obedience classes to set positive boundaries for this happy-go-lucky guy. Kale would be overjoyed with the company of other gentle young dogs. He would be so excited with the playtime and then at day's end, would be the greatest snuggler ever. Kale is so good-natured and respectful that he would be a great companion to be out and about with. Kale has been in a foster home in Texas while waiting for his transport to Denver (his great behavior and sweet nature earned him this ticket). He has been working on his home and socialization skills and we're so proud of his progress.
Kale is a guy who will require periodic baths/brushing and great nutrition to keep his stunning coat (with the most adorable markings) healthy, very shiny and cottony-soft.
